Emergency providers had been referred to as to a severe collision involving a automobile and a bike owner.
Provincial police say the bike owner was struck by the car on Freeway 26 between 11 Line and 10 Line in Thornbury shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday.
Police say the 59-year-old bike owner was declared lifeless at Meaford Basic Hospital.
The motive force of the automobile was co-operative with police throughout the investigation.
A bit of Freeway 26 was closed for a number of hours between the 11 Line and 10 Line.
The investigation is ongoing.
