With saddened hearts, the household of Claire Marie Couvillion (nee Desjardins) announce her passing on Friday, January 3, 2025 on the age of 88. Loving spouse of the late Thomas Lionel Couvillion for 67 years. Cherished mom of Corinne (Rick) Eagen and Tom (Allison) Couvillion. Adored Mémé of Eric (Melissa) Eagen, Kyle (Hanh) Eagen, Stephanie (Kyle) Archibald, Jeffrey Couvillion, Nathalie (Justin) Reynolds. Very particular Mim to nice grandchildren, Owen, Kayden, Layton, Rayah, Frederick, Blair and Lionel. Predeceased by her mother and father Jerry and Belva Desjardins of Tecumseh, daughter-in-law to the late Thomas and Anna Couvillion. She shall be dearly missed by “little sister” Mary Jane Finn.
Claire was a retired instructor, she taught over 30 years with many satisfying years spent educating Grade 6 at L’école Ste Thérèse, Windsor. She liked spending time with household and travelling. Claire was particularly happy with her grandchildren and nice grandchildren and loved each second they spent collectively. Particular thanks to Dr. Fasola, Dr. Veinberg, in addition to the nurses, registered dietitians and workers on the eighth ground of Windsor Regional Hospital – Met Campus. Household and pals shall be acquired on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm and seven:00 – 9:00 pm at Windsor Chapel Funeral House – Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E.) 519-253-7234. Visitation will proceed on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 11:00 – 11:30am at Our Woman of Guadalupe Church (834 Raymo Rd.), funeral mass to comply with at 11:30 am. Entombment at Heavenly Relaxation Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in reminiscence of Claire might be made to Hospice of Windsor or Second Likelihood Ministry.
