Here is what’s open and closed in Ottawa round New Yr’s Day.

Tuesday, Dec. 31

Purchasing and points of interest

Many grocery shops, pharmacies and alcohol retailers shut early.

The Bayshore, Place d’Orléans, Rideau Centre and St. Laurent malls every shut at 5 p.m.

Aberdeen Plaza inside Lansdowne Park would be the website of midnight fireworks to ring within the new yr. Free shuttles can be found.

The science museum is open on common hours. The nationwide gallery and conflict and historical past museums are open on common hours. The Ottawa Artwork Gallery is closed on each New Yr’s Eve and New Yr’s Day.
