Semi-automatic firearm and medicines seized throughout Oakville visitors cease

A 27-year-old is going through 12 charges, together with possession of cocaine, fentanyl and a firearm

A Toronto man is going through a number of gun and drug charges after an early morning visitors cease in Oakville.

On November 16, 2024, at roughly 4:30 am, Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) officers witnessed a car driving at excessive speeds because it exited the QEW at Royal Windsor Drive.

The car entered the Ford Meeting Plant the place a visitors cease was carried out by HRPS officers.

The male was discovered to be in possession of a loaded semi-automatic firearm and medicines together with cocaine and fentanyl.

 Because of the investigation, the lone male driver, 27-year-old, Dejaun Gibbs of Toronto was charged with the next:


         Harmful Operation
         Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
         Information of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
         Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Ammunition
         Carry Hid Weapon
         Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
         Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Car
         Possession of Firearm, Ammunition Opposite to Prohibition Order (2 counts)
         Fail to Comply -Being on a Launch Order
         Possession for the Function – Schedule 1 – Cocaine
         Possession for the Function – Schedule 1 – Fentanyl

On the time of his arrest, Gibbs was on a Launch Order with circumstances to not possess any weapons.
