Dozens of anti-Israel protesters broke into an educational constructing at Columbia College and took it over early Tuesday morning – hours after the varsity started suspending college students who refused to vacate their encampment.

Footage posted on social media exhibits quite a few protesters milling about inside Hamilton Corridor and inserting wood chairs and tables in entrance of the doorways in obvious try to dam others from coming into.

A photograph revealed by the Columbia Day by day Spectator, the scholar newspaper, exhibits a masked protester reaching via damaged home windows to zip-tie the doorways shut.

The rogue group who made it inside tossed their belongings on the ground after which instantly started working to barricade themselves contained in the constructing situated alongside the South Garden, which has been the scene of the varsity’s anti-Israel encampment for over per week.

The protesters even coated safety cameras inside Hamilton Corridor with tape and black trash luggage, based on the Columbia Day by day Spectator.

After they barged into the constructing, a number of staff have been nonetheless inside.

The protesters eliminated a few of the barricades to allow them to out. One of many staff yelled “they held me hostage” as he left the constructing and smacked anyone’s digicam, based on the scholar newspaper.
