Video footage launched by police earlier this week confirmed a girl approaching a financial institution drop field in broad daylight with a bag in hand.
As the girl opens the drop field a person approaching from the other way is seen violently ripping the bag from her palms and pulling her to the bottom within the course of.
The person is then seen working away with the bag.
Police launched the video footage on Monday as they made a public enchantment for details about the whereabouts of a 43-year-old suspect.
On Wednesday, police confirmed that the suspect has since been arrested.
Robert Rumley, of Hamilton, is charged with theft and disguise with intent in reference to the incident.
