The SIU is asking anybody who might have witnessed this or anybody who has any video of the arrest to please contact them.
THUNDER BAY – Ontario’s Particular Investigations Unit is in search of witnesses to an interplay that Thunder Bay Police Service officers had with a 50-year-old man on Tuesday at round 12:20 p.m.
That’s when plain clothed Thunder Bay Police Service officers tried to arrest the person, who was needed on a number of warrants, the SIU mentioned by electronic mail.
He fled on foot and the officers chased him. There was an interplay involving the person and police. The officers arrested him and handcuffed him close to 122 Cumberland St. S.
The person was taken to the police station and subsequently to the hospital, the place he was recognized with a critical damage. He stays in hospital.
