A Toronto teen has been charged as a part of an investigation into Kitchener, Ont.’s first murder of 2024.
On Jan. 25, at round 9 a.m., officers with the Waterloo Regional Police Service had been known as to Grey Avenue, close to the intersection of Ottawa Avenue North and Lackner Boulevard, after receiving studies of gunshots.

That’s when officers charged a 17-year-old boy from Toronto with first-degree homicide.

“It is important to recognize that even though this person is 17-years-old, and is considered to be a youth, youths can be charged and trialed as an adult in these cases,” Const.
