Christmas is inching nearer and nearer and the numerous festivities that come together with this time of yr are getting underway.

First up is the fifty fifth Assist Santa Toy Parade in downtown Ottawa on Saturday, Nov. 16.

The route will begin at Elgin Avenue and Laurier Avenue at 11 a.m. after which head west to Financial institution Avenue. The parade will then flip south onto Financial institution in the direction of Lansdowne Park the place it can finish.

New, unwrapped toys can be accepted alongside the parade route, in addition to financial and ‘tap’ donations.

Osgoode Village Parade of Lights – Essential Avenue: Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.

Constance and Buckham’s Bay Santa Claus Parade — 262 Len Purcell Drive: Saturday, Dec. 7 at 4:30 p.m.

Richmond Christmas Parade – Richmond Memorial Park:  Saturday, Dec. 7 at 5:30 p.m.

Stittsville Parade of Lights – Stittsville Essential Avenue: Saturday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m.

Pakenham Santa Claus Parade – 112 MacFarlane Avenue, Mississippi Mills: Saturday, Dec. 7 at 1 p.m.

Almonte Christmas Parade – Mill Avenue, Mississippi Mills: Sunday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m.

Huntley Neighborhood Affiliation Santa Claus Parade – Huntley Curling Membership entrance: Saturday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m.

Fitzroy Harbour Christmas Parade: Saturday, Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Metcalfe Santa Claus Parade – Victoria and Johannes Streets: Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m.
