Halton Regional Police are investigating after gunshots were heard early Friday morning in the Alton Village area of Burlington.
Officers responded to reports of gunshots at around 2:20 a.m. and found a parked vehicle on Verdi Street with multiple bullet holes.
Investigators say the vehicle was empty and reported that no one was hurt from the shooting.
Detectives believe the shooting was targeted and that there is no broader threat to the public.
Officers say more than two or three shots were fired, with neighbours telling CHCH News they heard them.
Police have not made any arrests connected to the investigation.
