The London Police Service’s (LPS) Web Youngster Exploitation (ICE) Unit, with the assistance of St. Thomas police, have arrested a St. Thomas man following a toddler pornography investigation.
In June, the LPS mentioned they had been made conscious of an ongoing investigation by the Nationwide Centre for Lacking and Exploited Kids (NCMEC) and the Nationwide Youngster Exploitation Crime Centre (NCECC), allegedly involving a St. Thomas, Ont. man.
On Aug. 30, a search warrant was executed at a house on Princess Avenue in St. Thomas.
Police mentioned a person resisted arrest.
Digital gadgets had been seized and the LPS added proof of suspected youngster pornography was discovered on them.
A St. Thomas man, 34-year-old Matthew James Covil, has been charged with breach order from sexual offence conviction, unlawfully possessing youngster pornography, unlawfully accessing youngster pornography and resisting arrest.
