A resident from Kingston, Ontario, is facing charges for public incitement of hatred following an investigation into online comments that reportedly spread hate against specific groups.
According to Kingston police, the inquiry started after they received a complaint about remarks made on a social media platform on September 23.
“The comments were posted anonymously and targeted members of religious communities, using language that allegedly incited hatred and violence toward identifiable groups,” stated a news release from the police.
