PETERBOROUGH, ON – Race teams and fans from all over the province are eagerly awaiting the 33rd annual B & G Towing & Recovery Autumn Colours Classic – Friday, October 9th to Sunday, October 11th at Peterborough Speedway.
The motorsports community is gearing up to gather at the Central Ontario venue famous for ‘Making Memories for Life’ as top racers aim for the honor, prestige, and bragging rights that come with winning one of racing’s most sought-after events. From the final race of the Ontario Bandolero Series season to the highlight Late Model Electric City 167, this year’s Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing promises a full lineup.
Race action kicks off Friday night at 6:00 with qualifying rounds for local favorites Switch Tire Mini Stock, Super Stock, and Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock categories. The schedule also includes two semi features of 15 laps each for KOD Disposal Ontario Bandoleros and 25-lap ‘A’ main races for GEN3 Electrical Sports Mods and Ontario Legend Car Series. Saturday’s racing starts at 3:30 with Late Model qualifying for the Electric City 167.
Track officials recently announced that this weekend’s Super Stock feature will be increased to 52 laps in memory of Mark Gordon, who passed away recently. This event will follow Sunday afternoon’s headlining Switch Tire Mini Stock race featuring 67 laps as a tribute to former racer Melissa Bullen, who died in May of 2020.

Fans heading to the 33rd annual B& G Towing and Recovery Autumn Colours Classic should remember that Peterborough Speedway operates on a cash-only basis, with an ATM available near the main gate. Anyone entering the pit area must present a completed waiver for verification. A link is available on the track website.
Bullring highlights: As in previous years, Kawartha Outdoor Décor will host a Thursday night pit party featuring free hot dogs and live music from local duo Space Cadets. Everyone is welcome to join in on the fun starting at 8:00 PM. After Friday night’s race program concludes, Peterborough’s Ty Wilson will take over with his mix of alt country and classic rock tunes that have earned him over a million streams along with three number one singles on the Canadian Indie Country Chart.
