Authorities are issuing a caution to anyone considering causing trouble, as social media posts have emerged that target a Brampton mall with “disruptive behaviour.”
“If you’re planning to steal, damage property or commit any crime, be ready for police and security to act very quickly,” Peel Regional Police stated in a video shared on social media.
Investigators are aware of online posts calling for a gathering at Bramalea City Centre this Saturday. A Tik Tok post is advertising a “Jam Day” at the Brampton mall, claiming that “no store is safe.”
Although the post mentions “music, good energy, good people” and aims for “no drama,” Peel police announced there will be more officers and security present throughout the mall during the Thanksgiving long weekend as a precaution.
“If you’re coming to shop, hang out, or spend time with family and friends, enjoy your weekend and stay safe,” police advised. They added that any disorderly conduct could result in being banned from the mall or facing charges.
“Enjoy the weekend. Respect our community. Make the right choice,” police encouraged.
Thinking about causing trouble at Bramalea City Centre this weekend? Pay attention.
Peel Regional Police are aware of social media posts urging disruptive behaviour at the mall. There will be an increased presence of police and security all weekend long, with officers patrolling both inside and outside of the mall. CCTV cameras will also be under continuous monitoring.
If you’re just coming to shop, hang out or spend time with family and friends, have a great weekend and stay safe.
However, if you plan to steal, damage property or engage in criminal activities, expect a swift response from police and security. You might face being banned from the mall or even arrested along with possible criminal charges.
Have fun this weekend. Show respect for our community. Make wise choices.

The post lacks clarity regarding what the gathering entails and comes from an account named Wozzel Guy on Tik Tok.
The event flyer claims it’s associated with social media personality Etay Beaton; however, Beaton has stated he’s not involved with either the event or its promotion.
Known online as “The Lotion Guy” and “Osap Guy,” this Humber marketing student became famous after Ontario Premier Doug Ford mentioned his videos where Beaton flaunted his expensive purchases using the catchphrase “we love you, OSAP money.”
“In no way shape or form am I involved with ‘Bramalea City Centre Jam Day’ or an organizer of this event,” Beaton remarked in a statement to INSAUGA Canada. “I have no idea who created the poster or who is behind that account posting them. Lastly, I won’t be anywhere near the mall on October 10th.”
Beaton told INSAUGA Canada he doesn’t support “these unsafe events” and has been targeted by internet trolls creating AI posters organizing events around him without his permission or consent.
This past August, Ford introduced changes to OSAP which reduced the portion of non-repayable grants students can receive through Ontario Student Assistance Program from 85 percent down to a maximum of 25 percent; loans now make up most financial assistance offered.
A Tik Tok video showed Beaton meeting Ford at an event where he claimed he was “low-key trolling” through his OSAP spending videos while mentioning that he was employed then.
“It was just a joke – please don’t take OSAP away from us,” Beaton appealed to Ford.
The premier’s advice for Beaton regarding entering Ontario’s job market was simply: “join the police.”
