Do you live in the ward? Yes, I’ve been living in Ward 5 for 19 years. Oakville is where my family has grown, and I have spent many years volunteering, organizing, and advocating in our community.
Previous political experience
Yes. I bring 35 years of advocacy, organizing and activism experience, including leadership roles with my union ETFO (Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario) and the Oakville and District Labour Council. I’ve served on community boards and campaign committees with Community Development Halton, the United Way of Hamilton Halton and currently the United Way Golden Horseshoe. Additionally, I was a federal NDP candidate in 2019 and 2021.
If elected what will your priorities be?
I have four key priorities: Community Growth, Safety, Service, and Vision.
I will advocate for growth that pays for itself while strengthening access to public services, promoting affordable housing options, and supporting seniors as well as individuals with disabilities.
Above all else, I’ll ensure transparency, responsible fiscal management, and meaningful public engagement in council discussions. Having spent decades connecting with people through my work and community involvement means it’s time for residents to get to know me better too.
