BYD Canada Company Limited has just launched its official website, showing a Markham, Ontario address as its Canadian headquarters. This is the first time BYD (HKG: 1211) has publicly shared a specific location for its operations in Canada.
The bilingual site can be found at byd. com/en-ca and byd. com/fr-ca. It comes as the Chinese carmaker prepares to launch dealerships in Canada, following the recent reduction of tariffs on electric vehicles made in China.
The contact page provides BYD Canada’s address as 60 Travail Road, Markham, Ontario, L3S 3J1. Besides this, there’s only a marketing email listed as a way to get in touch. The site’s terms also clarify that byd. ca, another domain some visitors might find, belongs to an unrelated Toronto marketing firm and is not connected to the automaker.
Currently, the site serves mainly as a corporate showcase instead of a sales platform. It clearly states that online vehicle purchases, leases, financing applications, reservations or deposits aren’t supported yet; there’s no configurator or dealer locator available either.

The site does focus on cold-weather performance-a common concern for Canadians regarding EVs. BYD highlights its FLASH Charging system along with the Blade Battery technology, claiming that charging from 20 to 97 percent at minus 30 degrees Celsius takes only three minutes longer than it would at room temperature.
Founded in 1994 and now recognized as the world’s leading new-energy vehicle manufacturer by volume, BYD describes itself on its website as operating across over 120 countries on six continents and expects revenue to exceed RMB 804 billion by 2025.
