A tragic accident on Highway 21 resulted in one fatality and another person sustaining unspecified injuries.
Emergency responders arrived at the site of a head-on crash involving a sports utility vehicle (SUV) and a pickup truck just before 5:30 p. m. on March 31, as reported by a news release from South Bruce OPP.
The 49-year-old male driver of the SUV passed away due to his injuries, while the pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital and has since been discharged, according to police reports.
Highway 21 between Bruce Road 40 and Concession 2 was closed for several hours but is now open again.
The South Bruce OPP, along with the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team, are looking into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The public is encouraged to check their security cameras or dash cams for any footage that may have recorded the crash or the vehicles involved.
