Renfrew OPP is looking into a murder that occurred in Renfrew, which is 250 km east of North Bay.
Officers responded to a call at a home on Vimy Boulevard just before 10:30 last night and found a victim with gunshot wounds. The person was rushed to the hospital, where the coroner later declared them dead.
The suspect had already left the scene before police arrived.
Authorities believe the victim was specifically targeted and that this incident is not part of a larger pattern.
The OPP is advising everyone to stay aware of their personal safety and make sure their doors and windows are secured.
