An 18-year-old with a G2 driver’s licence isn’t likely to be taking a driving test anytime soon.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the young driver from London was clocked at 169 km/h in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 near County Road 22, just east of Woodstock.
As a result, they are now facing a charge for stunt driving, which comes with a license suspension for 30 days and their vehicle being impounded for two weeks.
“At 169 km/h, there’s little room for error,” said OPP. “Slow down. No destination is worth risking lives.”
The police shared details about this incident on Tuesday afternoon.
