Wellington County OPP are looking into a multi-vehicle crash that involved six cars and resulted in the death of a pedestrian in Guelph late Sunday night.
Emergency responders, including police, Guelph-Wellington County Emergency Medical Services, and the Guelph Fire Department, arrived at the scene on Highway 6 near Guelph just before midnight, where a pedestrian was found with life-threatening injuries.
According to OPP, the pedestrian, a 38-year-old man from Guelph, was declared dead at the scene and there were no other reported injuries.
The section of Highway 6 between Stone Road and Kortright Road was closed for several hours while police conducted their investigation. The road reopened early Monday morning.
OPP are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage to reach out to them.
