The province has imposed a fine on a Mississauga parts supplier following an incident where a worker fell from a ladder and sustained injuries in an Ontario warehouse.

This workplace accident occurred on May 10, 2025, at the Ideal Supply Inc. warehouse located in Listowel, where the company based in Mississauga employs approximately 130 individuals, according to Ontario’s Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development.

A worker was attempting to retrieve items from industrial racking when they fell four feet to the floor, resulting in injuries.

<p. An investigation conducted by the ministry revealed that the worker did not receive sufficient information, training, or supervision about using ladders safely. Consequently, the company has been fined $70,000.

The court also enforced a 25 percent victim fine surcharge as mandated by the Provincial Offences Act. This amount goes to a special provincial fund designed to support victims of crime.
