Peacefully and surrounded by his beloved household, Artwork handed away on August 17, on the age of 89.
He will likely be lovingly remembered by sons Joseph (Debbie) Wing (Meghan, Travis), Michael Wing, Christopher (Wendy) Wing (Stuart, Rachel), step daughter Lynn (Jeff) Henderson (Jenny, Katie), step son-in-law Kevin Thorsen (Jacqueline, Jon), and brother Bob (Hugette).
He was predeceased by his wives Jacquie Herman (2022) and Marjorie Pancheff (1990), son David (1984), stepdaughter Michele Thorsen (nee: Herman, 2023), mom Beatrice Wing Pereda (1972), father Robert Wing (1944), step father Raymond Pereda (2019), and step mom Gladys Pereda (2017).
Artwork led an achieved life as a pacesetter in training and Rotary.
He attended Stamford Collegiate, College of Western Ontario-Ivey HBA, and College of Toronto-Faculty of Schooling and MEd.
What started as an inadvertent alternative to “try teaching for a year” led to a distinguished profession in training. He started instructing Enterprise at St.Catharines Collegiate (1960-66), additionally working with the rowing and soccer groups. He was subsequently at Lakeport (trainer, 1966-67), Collegiate (vice-principal, 1967-69), Grantham (principal, 1969-72), Collegiate (principal, 1972-77), and completed his profession as a Superintendent of Schooling for the Lincoln County Board of Schooling (1977-94)
After retirement from training, he served as President of Marwing Companies (1994-2019), consulting to numerous organizations, together with the Niagara Parks Fee.
Artwork was equally lively in neighborhood service management within the Niagara Area and past. Most notably, he was a member of the Rotary Membership of St. Catharines for 50 years, serving as President (1991-92), District Governor (2005-06), and District Chair for the Rotary Basis. He led the Rotary group examine trade to India in 2003 and was a recipient of the Rotary Worldwide Service Award. He was additionally a Board member and President of Household and Kids’s Companies of the Niagara Area, Founding Chair and Board member of Contact Niagara, and a pacesetter within the Early Years Motion Group.
